"To Serve, To Strive, and Not To Yield........."
These words were taught to me at a young age by the North Carolina Outward Bound School. It is within this outdoor classroom that I first began to embrace service to others. Since that time, I have sought a life of service to my family, friends and my community.
A Native North Carolinian, I settled into Henderson County in the mid 1980's after working several summers at Camp Mondamin. It didn't take long to develop a great respect and appreciation for the area which has captivated me for 25 years.
In 2003, I graduated from the Center for Massage and Natural Health and began an exciting career. I quickly recognized that helping those with chronic pain, traumatic soft tissue injuries and the maintenance of athletic performance were the driving motivations behind this work. I have studied with David Luther (The Medical Massage Office), international lecturer and author, James Waslaski (the Center for Pain Management), and most recently with Erik Dalton, PhD., author, researcher and highly experienced body worker. I was the first certified teaching assistant in North Carolina for the Center for Pain Management and continue to travel throughout the southeast as a teaching assistant for Mr. Waslaski.
When I'm not serving clients, I enjoy biking, hiking , sharing a good meal with friends, and reading the latest research on new and emerging bodywork.
